A few new photos from this snowless Winter.

Late summer updates.

I'm two weeks into my new job at Devil's Due Digital Publishing. Still getting over the surreality of working in the comic book industry. Chatting with creators about new projects and getting emails from people I've been following for years now--amazing.

I'm still teaching as well. I'm currently teaching a Dramatic Lit course through Wilmington College's Cincinnati campus. It is great being able to have an open discourse about literature on a regular basis. I always miss it when I'm away. A two hour discussion on Artaud's No More Masterpieces is always welcome. And Beckett's ENDGAME next week. Joy!

Sometimes I feel like I've got an embarrassment of riches in my life.

For all of you music fans, I'll be working on a new digital mixtape for you. Feel free to make suggestions. I'm lacking internet at home for a couple weeks but it'll be coming soon after that, promise.

I hope the end of the summer finds you all just as well. Welcome, Fall.

Tim's Big Fun Summer Mixtape

For your downloading pleasure, I submit a cd length "mixtape" of songs I'm currently enjoying during this hot, hot summer. I have problems finding suitable transitionary songs, so I apologize if there isn't a wonderful flow. Hopefully, though, you find something to love. Please support any of the artists you enjoy because, you know, they don't know I'm giving away their songs to you for free.

The photo that keeps creeping.

This photo was taken amidst the lonesome landscape of Springfield, Ohio. My journey led me here to see if this barn was as concert-bearing as it was rumored. Needless to say, it was as disturbing inside as out. I guess there to be as many hidden human corpses as visible animal's.

This image has stuck with me since I took it a few weeks back. It appears with no discernible urge to depart. Is it considered haunting? Strange how things stick with us.

#nowreading

Thanks to the wonderful @cthulhuchick, I've downloaded THE COMPLETE WORKS OF H.P. LOVECRAFT for free. (You can, too!) I'm going to go through a lot of these stories again with an eye for filming them. I've been thinking about interweaving some of the stories into a webseries. That'd probably be a little easier than nagging my writer friends for scripts.

Having just finished Neil Gaiman's SANDMAN run (exquisite, btw), I'm moving to my next daunting series: Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley's INVINCIBLE. Also, I'm grabbing pieces of Richard A. Muller's PHYSICS FOR FUTURE PRESIDENTS when I can to pick up a little science along the way.

Still slowly plugging away on David Foster Wallace's INFINITE JEST. I hope I don't end up regretting reading it in portions. I just can't stick with it in such large doses. Is that good or bad?
